    Up to $8,000 ($5,000 in 2001 and $3,000 in 2002) to advertise conferences on technical analysis in Calgary and Edmonton.

    Up to $2,100 ($900 in 2002 and $600 in each of 2003 and 2006) to present an investment and investment fraud seminar for seniors.

    Up to $106,500 for financial literacy courses for youth and Aboriginal learners ($15,000 in 2006 and $91,500 in 2007).

    Up to $11,800 to continue operations of the Investor Education Centre in the main branch of the Edmonton Public Library.

    Up to $42,500 for a directors’ education for small business program.

    Up to $76,000 ($15,000 in 1999 to develop brochures and conduct seminars for seniors on investment fraud; $45,000 in 2000-03 (and $10,000 in 2005) for strategic development of a program of education for seniors about investment fraud; and $6,000 in 2005 for web site redevelopment).

    Up to $222,000 ($20,000 in 1999 for the development of seminars in connection with Investor Education Week, $97,000 in 1999 for the distribution of investment books to Alberta libraries and the provision of toll-free access to the ILC's Calgary Resource Centre, $90,000 in 2000 as startup funding for the establishment of an Investor Education Centre in Edmonton and $15,000 in 2001 towards expenses related to the Investor Resource Centre in Calgary).

    Up to $98,000 ($20,000 in 2001, $12,000 in each of 2002-2006, and $18,000 in 2007/08) to develop and deliver an online trading challenge for junior high school students.

    Up to $5,000 for material for an investor education resource collection.

  • Moe Money Ventures, Lethbridge, Alberta
    Up to $8,655 ($3,500 in 2000 and $5,155 in 2001) to develop and present investment camps for young people.

    $55,000 to develop a corporate governance certificate program.

  • Peace Country Development Corporation, Peace River, Alberta
    Up to $16,000 to help extend the Junior Achievement program to sixteen schools in the Peace River region.

  • Rocky Mountain Business Seminar, Edmonton, Alberta
    $25,000 ($5,000 in each of 2002 and 2004-2006, and $10,000 in 2003) towards a Jasper, Alberta conference organized by business students from the University of Alberta.

  • Shad Valley International - Alberta Regional Office, Calgary, Alberta
    Up to $42,000 ($14,000 per year for three years) towards a summer science and entrepreneurship program for exceptional youth.

  • VenturePrize, Edmonton, Alberta
    Up to $40,000 ($20,000 in 2005, $5,000 in each of 2003 and 2004, and $10,000 in 2007) towards the VenturePrize business plan competition.
